This is due to the different TOG ratings and loop lengths created inside our Heat Holders® children’s thermal socks range. For example, Heat Holders® LITE™ thermal socks have medium-length loops to generate a TOG rating of 1.60. These medium-thickness socks are best teamed with casual-fit shoes.
Whereas, our Original Heat Holders® children’s thermal socks rely on longer-length loops of heavy yarn for a more powerful thermal sock on extra chilly days. With a TOG rating of 2.34, they’ll suit boots, rain boots or days when your kiddo will be snuggling at home.
Heat Holders® are also available for our younger fans as playful slipper socks. Keep them for those days when no shoes are required. Their underfoot grips can help to avoid accidents on smooth floors.
